In 2016, the Halifax Pride Board of Directors promised to report on commitments made to improve many aspects of the society and Festival. The document Halifax Pride Community Update outlines the work of the executive director and board to address issues of community consultation, discrimination, dispute resolution, underrepresentation of marginalized communities, and festival changes since the 2016 Annual General Meeting.
The report is meant to be comprehensive in nature, but the work by the executive director and board is ongoing. New improvements and discussions on the future direction of Halifax Pride happen every day and further updates will continue on these and other issues in future years.
