Parade Application
The 2025 Halifax Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, July 19, at 12:00pm.
Experience the power of community gathering, celebration, and activism as a part of the 2025 Halifax Pride Parade. Enter your group to take part in one of this city’s largest community events, demonstrate your support for 2SLGBTQIA+ equity, and help make the Halifax Pride Festival possible.
Halifax Pride appreciates all those who join the parade, but we work especially hard to ensure queer community members and groups are the focus of our parade and festival. 2SLGBTQIA+ community groups and 2SLGBTQIA+ not-for-profit groups receive free entry and are given priority placement in the parade.
NEW APPLICATION PROCESS
We have a new parade application system! The 2024 festival and Pride Parade gave our team much to reflect on, including the selection processes for groups we welcome to take part in the parade. Through a thorough review of the applications and selection process, we have moved to an application format that places emphasis on commitment to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community not just on parade day, but every day.
As always, 2SLGBTQIA+ mandated groups and not-for-profit organizations receive free and immediate acceptance into the parade.
Step 1: Submit your complete application.
Step 2: All applications are reviewed by our team of staff & board. Only groups that closely align with our Aim, Purpose, and Guiding Principles, as well as queer mandated groups will be accepted into this year’s parade.
Step 4: Successful applicants will receive payment details.
Step 5: Once payment is received, your application is considered complete!
