Halifax Community Fridge - Queer-run & anonymous group providing free food in Kjipuktuk. Located outside of Glitter Bean cafe.

Parker Street Food Bank - Parker Street provides food to people in the Halifax Regional Municipality with a proven need.


ORGANIZATIONS

AIDS Coalition of NS - AIDS Coalition of NS strives to create an environment in which people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS feel empowered and supported. Their aim is to end stigma and discrimination, and reduce new cases of HIV.

Egale Canada - Egale works to improve the lives of LGBTQI2S people in Canada and to enhance the global response to LGBTQI2S issues.

First Love Yourself (FLY902) - Transgender peer support for adults in Nova Scotia. They have regular peer support meetings as well as other events for trans and gender questioning people.

Gender Creative Kids Canada - Gender Creative Kids is a website that provides resources for supporting and affirming gender creative kids within their families, schools, and communities.

Halifax Sexual Health Clinic - The Halifax Sexual Health Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization that promotes sexual and reproductive health within an environment that respects confidentiality and supports individual choice.

Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project - NSRAP seeks to foster change in our communities and our society at large so that people of all sexual orientations and gender identities are valued and included.

PFLAG, PFLAG Canada, PFLAG Halifax - PFLAG is the first and largest organization uniting LGBTQ people, families, and allies.

prideHealth - prideHealth works to improve access to health services which are safe, coordinated, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate for the pride community.

Sexual Health Nova Scotia - Sexual Health Nova Scotia and its Member Centres support on all aspects of sexual and reproductive health, including issues of sexuality such as gender and orientation. Simply Good Form - Simply Good Form offers professional Canada-wide training and skills presentations to caregivers, early childhood educators and private and public sector businesses.

South House - The South House (SoHo) is Halifax’s only full time gender justice centre. They are a volunteer driven, student funded, gender inclusive safe space for all members of our community.

YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth - The local YMCA offers a variety of programs, workshops, and events for newcomer youth and adults who are Two-Spirit, bisexual, intersex, lesbian, trans, non-binary, asexual, gay, queer, plus.

The Youth Project - The Youth Project provides support and services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth, 25 and under, across Nova Scotia.
