Logan and I - By The Doppler Effect (7:00 pm)
Logan and I is the story of two boys from very different world, bound to each other by shame. Logan is enamoured with Dezzy's toy collection; Dezzy, in turn, is thrilled to have a protector from the schoolyeard bullies. But when a copy of The Joy of Sex sparks a period of sexual discovery between them, Dezzy finds out that being best friends with Logan comes with its own dangers. Passionate, funny, and heart wrenching, Logan and I is a dark look at hte beast and beauty within.

NGGRFG. Imagine it with the vowels. Can you even imagine the words? Can you say them? Imagine hearing them. Nigger> Fag. Drawing from a past filled with these words, writer-performer Berend McKenzie has crafter a revealing and often hilarious one-man tour-de-force about a queer black kid negociating the bewildering minefield of straight white Canada: from the schoolyeard, to the perils of dating, to the "glamour" of showbiz. Moving and heartwarming, you do not want to miss this critical and audience favourite from Canada's west coast. A talk-back discussion with the artist will follow Wednesday evening's performance.
The (sad) Ballad of Oliver Hugh & Company - Written and performed by Stever Bourque and Steph McNair (10:00 pm)
The story of obsession and love fluctuates between fantasy and reality while exploring the key facet of drag performance and theatricality. Written and performed by Stephen Bourque and notable Halifax drag-king Steph McNair, The (sad) Ballad of Oliver Hugh & Company is a drag insspired show that draws upon the artists' backgrounds in circus, burlesque, performance, visual art, and theatre. Its's not to be missed.
